Nature Is Here For You

Nature Is Here For You

There’s a principle in nature that I find myself coming back to over and over again—especially in moments like this, when everything feels turbulent, uncertain, even a little hopeless.

When a complex system—like an ecosystem, a weather pattern, or even a society—loses its equilibrium, it doesn’t return to its previous state. It can’t. But what happens instead is something extraordinary.

Small pockets of coherence, tiny strongholds of balance, begin to emerge. They hold steady. And eventually, they influence everything around them, shifting the entire system into a new, more harmonious order.

This happens in forests recovering from wildfires. In coral reefs regenerating after bleaching events. In rivers finding new paths after floods. Nature doesn’t just break down; it transforms. And that transformation begins in small, stable places.

Right now, the world feels like a storm. But here’s the thing: You don’t have to fix the whole storm. You don’t have to solve everything. You just have to be an island of coherence.

A steady place in the midst of uncertainty. A refuge, even in small ways—for yourself, for those around you.

So how do we do this?

By connecting to what is real. Tangible. Steady.

For me, this means turning to nature. Feeling the solidity of a stone in my hand. Watching the rhythms of the tide. Wearing something that reminds me of the deep intelligence and resilience of the earth. These are not trivial things. They are acts of remembering.

Because when we stay connected to nature, we stay connected to ourselves. And when we do that, we become the steady places the world needs.

So if you are feeling lost right now, I encourage you: Find something real to hold onto. A walk in the woods. The sound of the wind. A small piece of nature you can keep close maybe some 🇨🇦 Canadian Nature Jewelry even?

Be the island. The rest will follow.

PS - If you are feeling lost or like you need a physical anchor to ground you, I would be honoured for you to have a piece of my jewelry for this like Fern Earrings, Mussel Necklace and especially my Pebblebellies which are physical manifestations of literally billions of years of all the elements unifying over and over again; each one carries this infinite wise thrum of nature to carry with you and soothe your being.
